Farringdon View On the Semi-conductor Market

  • Semi-Conductor stock prices are overly extended and is bound for a retracement.
  • Advisors should keep a close lookout for any downside movements as many advisors have jumped on the bandwagon.

Review On Coleman Fund Strategies

  • Back tested data showed that the bond and equity fund by Coleman has outperformed their benchmarks.
  • The long-short strategy has performed well.
  • For the Coleman fixed interest strategy, annualised volatility is relatively close to the bond index and long short index. Thus, the risk is controlled well.
  • Currently, the main Issue with the fund is the Total expense ratio.
  • It is normal for new funds to have a higher TER ratio as AUM is low.
  • Coleman fund managers intends to keep volatility and fees down to a minimum.
  • Farringdon estimates that it will take about 3 months for the TER ratio to dip to under 2%.
  • Farringdon will add the bond and equity funds into its fund panel when the product is launched.
